BLAGNY

Municipal naming of Côte de Beaune. This naming contains 7 climates classified in Premier Cru. White wines benefit respectively from the naming MEURSAULT or
Of the naming PULIGNY-MONTRACHET according to their municipality of production.
Municipalities of production: Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Red wines benefit only from the naming BLAGNY. Naming BLAGNY and BLAGNY PREMIER CRU can be followed or not by the name of their climate of origin. The dress of Blagny is purple darkened ruby going to the black cherry or in the purplish ruby. It evokes crepuscular lights. The nose, very fruity, summarizes the Burgundian aromatic range of the small red berries (strawberry, currant) and blacks (blackcurrant, blackberry). In maturity, the leather, the pepper, the cocoa,
The licorice accompanying the wildcat. Carpentered, this broad-shouldered and concentrated wine needs to wait a little in cellar so that its lamb's lettuce bases itself. Just what it is necessary of flesh: its body is slim and enthusiastic. A red island on the sea of the whites.

On horseback on the vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, the hamlet of Blagny is nested on the most beautiful belvedere of Côte de Beaune. It produces in red the naming Blagny and Blagny Premier cru (accompanied or not of the naming of the climate indicating the locality and the country) and in white of the Puligny-Montrachet and the Meursault. The vine distinguishes here vintage wines and their naming, on lands which already valued in the XIIth century the Cistercian monks of Maizières, the fathers of the Montrachet. The mention Côte de Beaune can accompany the word Blagny. The naming was recognized in 1937.

Between 340 and 400 meters in height, this hillside extends over marls covered with calcareous masses of fallen rocks. At the top, calcareous brown grounds. Below, argilo-calcareous grounds. Below, argilo-calcareous grounds. There are so nuances between Premier Crus: hamlet of Blagny on the rich, rocky and deep ground; the Rabbit warren a little more rocky and turning at around midday …

Red wines exclusively, pinot noir grape variety.
