BOURGOGNE CÔTES DU COUCHOIS

Regional naming of the vineyard of Couchois, in Saône-et-Loire. The name of COTE DU COUCHOIS can be added to that of BURGUNDY only for red wines produced inside the area bounded by the naming. Municipalities of production: coats, Dracy-lès-Couches, Saint-Jean-de-Trézy, Saint-Maurice-lès-Couches, Saint-Pierre-de-Varennes, Saint Sernin-du-Plain. On the label, the mention COTE DU COUCHOIS must be registered at once after BURGUNDY in the same size of characters. Burgundy Cote du Couchois is frank of color, intense, slightly made purple ruby. Its bouquet suggests the small red berries (raspberry, currant) and blacks (blackcurrant, blackberry), then it opens on the undergrowth, the mushroom, the nucleus, the spice and the leather, the fur. In mouth, it is good-hearted and of the safe! Greedy, a little bit rough in its youth and freed in 2 or 3 years, this wine shows itself of excellent holding and persisting. It is typified well by its country, it is a character trait faithful to its Burgundian soul.

In the South of Maranges and in the South of the High Cote de Beaune, Couchois is a wine grower for a long time. In Saône-et-Loire, this vineyard of hillside saw recognizing her personality within the protected designation of origin Burgundy since the vintage wine 2000, after long efforts carried by the quality. The municipalities of Coats, Dracy-lès-Couches, Saint-Jean-de-Trézy, Saint-Maurice-lès-Couches, Saint-Pierre-de-Varennes and Saint-Sernin-du-Plain produces this red wine stemming from some pinot noir.
