BOURGOGNE TONNERRE

Regional naming of the vineyard of Tonnerrois, in the Yonne, creates July 17th, 2006. The name of THUNDER can be added to that of BURGUNDY only for white wines produced inside the area bounded by the naming. Municipalities of production:
Dannemoine, Epineuil, Junay, Molosmes, Thunder and Vézinnes. On the label, the mention THUNDER must be registered at once below the name BURGUNDY.
It is a wine stemming from the vine Chardonnay. This wine is dry, and fruity. Burgundy Thunder offers a beautiful transparency, and with as peculiarity, a particularly gilded dress.
Very fine and aromatic wine, it opens on notes of flowers, white and exotic fruits, and also on notes of citrus fruits. Its frank, soft side allied to a certain curvature bursts mouth, the whole accompanied with a light mineral point there.

The vineyard of Burgundy Thunder is situated in the valley of Armançon. It developed from the IXth century, to the crisis of the phylloxera between 1870 and 1890, which affected its evolution. It is from 1987, that the men made this vineyard be reborn, fort of several centuries of existence.
It then reinvested the côteaux best of Thunder, Epineuil, Molosmes, Junay and the other villages with typically Burgundian vines, and carefully chosen.

The Chardonnay of Burgundy Thunder blooms on argilo-calcareous grounds (coast of the upper kimméridgien). The tonnerrois is a very hilly and relatively well sheltered region. The naming gathers south, southeast particularly well exposed côteaux.

White wines, Chardonnay grape variety.
