CHAMBERTIN

Naming Grand Cru of the Night coast, in Côte-d'Or. The area of production of naming CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN and MAZOYÈRES-CHAMBERTIN is the same, but it is the naming CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN which is usually claimed.
Municipality of production: Gevrey-Chambertin. On the label, the naming Grand Cru has to appear necessarily at once below the name of each of these naming in an identical cutting of characters. Red, their dress is lively, of the ruby darkened up to the black cherry. Their aromas suggest the raspberry, the blackcurrant, the currant as well as the nucleus, the liquorice, the spices. Also in the meeting, the rose, the violet, the foam and the undergrowth. To the palace, power, wealthiest and elegance unite to compose a whole and complex body, full of sap and a sensual flesh, intended for 10 years at least of keeping. If these luxurious Grand Crus have the family feeling, nuances distinguish them however.

Chambertin to Morey-Saint-Denis between the coomb of Lavaux and that of Morey. A screen in Cinemascope in 240/280 meters in height, with an exposure in the east. It is, in Grand Crus, the most northern part of the Coast. In Night coast, Closed of Bèze entered the history in 640. There will be a property of the Burgundian abbey until 1219 when it is given up to the canons of Langres until 1789. Chambertin shares with the Closed of Bèze the imperial crown: it is known under this name for the XIIIth century. Unchanged limits. Napoleon will want to drink nothing of the other one. The most close 7 climates (Charms and Mazoyères becoming confused partially) have an evident relationship with the guardian faces and receive their gratitude in Grand Crus (in July 31st, 1937). But Chambertin succeeds
In their name, whereas Close it of Bèze it precede.

This long hillside rests on the hard rock: some tens of centimeters of brown earth, stemming from silt and rocky mass of fallen rocks on the high part, the limestones with variable clayey content on the hillside. Geological floors: the bathonien partially superior then marls and limestone in entroques of the jurassic. Fossils are many on the surface of earth, calling reminding the sea there is 150 million years.

Red wines exclusively, vine pinot noir.
