CLOS DE TARTNaming Grand Cru of the Night coast, in Côte-d'Or. Municipality of production: Morey-Saint-Denis. On the label, the naming GRAND CRU has to appear necessarily at once below the name of each of these naming in an identical size of characters. Naturally diverse because every Grand Cru has his personality. In the eye: frank or dark ruby. Under his hat veil of strawberry and violet, Clos de Tart allies the robustness and the charm. Rather tannic in its youth, it is moved with the age by winning in complexity. Clos des Lambrays: a round wine as the cherry in young, grave and deep vintage wine in older vintage wine. Clos Saint-Denis surprises less by its scale that by its nuances: the Mozart de la Côte de Nuit. The Clos de la Roche is more asserted, very close of Chambertin, grave and deep. The humus, the truffle often precedes the small red berry or the black. A small part of Maids Puddles is produced on the municipality, the most important part being situated on Chambolle-Musigny.
In Night coast, Morey-Saint-Denis is one of the villages the best provided in Grand Crus(vintage wines). Closed of Tart lived in monopoly was based in 1141 by the Cistercians of Tart. Since this date, it was a member of three successive heritages only! Clos Saint-Denis appears to the XIth century. He arose from canons of Vergy. The Clos de la Roche and Clos des Lambrays in virtual monopoly arises from historic foundations and from land consolidations of several climates. Naming Grand Cru recognized on December 8th, 1936, In January 4th, 1939 (Clos de Tart) and in April 27th, 1981 (Clos des Lambrays). In approximately approximately 250 meters in height and exposed to the east, sometimes slightly est/sud-est, these Grand Crus prolong the family of the Grand Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin southward: the Clos de la Roche then Closed Saint Denis, Clos des Lambrays and Clos de Tart, before the Bonnes-Mares. The Closed of the Rock is strongly calcareous: hardly 30 centimeters of earth, few gravel, and big stony blocks which gave him this name. Clos de Tart: masses of fallen rocks recover widely the calcareous base (from 40 to 120 centimeters of earth). Clos des Lambrays is marly on its high part, argilo-limestone in the bottom. Clos Saint-Denis: at the bottom of the hillside, the brown calcareous grounds devoid of gravel, with presence of phosphor as in Chambertin and clay as in Musigny. Red wines exclusively, vine pinot noir. Surfaces in production: CLOS SAINT-DENIS: 5,45 ha CLOS DE LA ROCHE: 17,20 ha CLOS DES LAMBRAYS: 8,30 ha CLOS DE TART: 7,35 ha Appellation wines list
