CONDRIEU

Naming situated in about ten kilometre in the South of Vienna, completely dedicated to the production of a white wine which spreads a perfume of flowers of peach, apricot and violets.

Some consider him as the biggest white of the valley of the Rhône. Vineyards from the east of the naming and directed in the South, created in 1st century apr. J.C, would give formerly wines softness or syrupy stemming from grapes of late grape harvest. Certain number of wine growers resumed(took back) the production recently. The only vine cultivated today is the viognier. The naming counted no more than 10 ha of vineyard(vine) in the 1960s, but thanks to the increasing interest of the market for wines of the Côtes du Rhône, the fashion of the viognier and especially the arrival of young talented wine growers, this surface almost multiplied tenfold.
