GRAVE

Before the phylloxera, the vineyard of the Grave counted about 10 000ha. A part(party) was not transplanted and the other one was eaten away by the urban development and the airport of Mérignac. The naming grave extends of Bordeaux southward on near 60km and as Haut-Brion count famous vintage wines(vineyards). Haut-Brion, all the others classified vintage wines(vineyards) and 44 other vintage wines(vineyards) preferred to adopt the new pessac-léognan naming created in 1987.
