LADOIX
Municipal naming of Côte de Beaune, in Côte-d'Or. This naming contains 11 climates classified in Premier Cru. Municipality of production: Ladoix-Serrigny. Naming LADOIX and LADOIX PREMIER CRU can be followed or not by the name of their climate of origin. Red: its dress often evokes the color of the garnet glittering in purplish reflections. The raspberries, the cherry, candied or in the brandy and the ripe fruit fill the bouquet. We meet also vegetable notes or spiced, coffee or cocoa there. In mouth? It’s drawing to tighten wife in flexibility a round and full shape, a spherical softness on a good structure and a just man what it is necessary of tannins. White: gold or straw clear, its aromas tilt for the locust tree decorated frequently with a buttered (drunk) accent. Coming from Dijon, here begin the Côte de Beaune. Ladoix shares with Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses the honor to produce famous wines of the hillside of Corton (Corton and Corton-Charlemagne). The protected designation of origin was established from 1937. These red and white vineyards contain arranged vintage wines, according to the capacity of countries, to spread the pinot noir or the Chardonnay.
The high part of the hillside is situated on rocky and reddish grounds (ferruginous oolithe), calcareous and rather marly: white great wines. At the middle-hillside of the calcareous, always reddish brown grounds and abundantly provided with fragment of limestone with flint: strong and blazing red, moderating their heat more clayey on Piedmont. Exhibitions: in the east or the southeast / South. Height: from 230 to 325 meters.
