MONTHELIERed wines are colored well, they develop powerful aromas being inspired by red or black bays (cherry, bilberry, black currant), of the oak, the foam of the undergrowth. Their flavours let seem astringencies rather lively, and a softness which confers them an elegant charm. The first vintage wines are complicated, obust thanks to an even more present tannin, endow with a pronounced bouquet. The white wines (rare), gold-coloured whites of green in their young age, are similar to their neighbours Meursault a lot: fresh almond in the nose, the big softness in mouth, raised by the necessary acidity which signs vintage wines.
