Clos Fourtet

Long owned by the Lurton family, this premier cru classé, bein on the coast of Saint-Emilion, was acquired in 2001 by Philippe Cuvelier, a former shareholder of the mills Guibert. In recent years, thanks to him, and with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt, the castle finally produces wines worthy of its prestigious ranking, which had not been for over thirty years. The new era begins with 2002.

Once diluted, the wine found style and heavy-bodied, fruity certainly a little less than others, mas it makes up for by amplifying its length on the palate and the nobility of the tannins in the classic form of the Saint-Emilion sector so original that it is derived.
