Pétrus

The most legendary wine world has not ended to fascinate those who are lucky enough to taste it. Deriving from 100% Merlot planted on deep clay soil, Petrus has a singular terroir in Pomerol.

Although all vintages during the years 1980 or 1990 are not up to the expectation that such a thought can create and you can always ask if paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars for privileged access to this legend is quite reasonable. We shall not debate.

That said, the latest vintages produced by the property, such as the 2000, 2005 or 2006 are probably the most successful of all. Jean-Claude Berrouet, who has 44 vintage vinified, retired this year, leaving room for his son Olivier.
