Pichon-Longueville Baron

On major upgrades to the winery were made ​​in 2007. The AXA Group, purchased the castle, has also doubled the area of the vineyards, replanting fields that should never be uprooted. A small half of the field is facing a Chateau Latour Premier Cru terroir, which the wine gets its color depth, nobility aromatic and density of material. With the arrival of the team set up by Jean-Michel Cazes, the quality has improved dramatically.

  The vintages 1989 and 1990 peaked in a style very pure Pauillac. The thought has not fully confirmed this exceptional level over the next decade, even if no vintage does not disappoint, and frankly that 1995 and 1996 are undeniable successes. Since 2000, the castle was left of the front, returning to the heights of thought and even the name.
