White Alsace - 1982


As in Champagne, the strong volumes of grapes, even ripe, sometimes lead to a certain dilution in the badly followed vineyards. "But that raised no problem to the concerned wine growers, is ironic Jean Hugel: how was very well sold up to the other end of France!" Fortunately, the majority of grapes, the pkus concentrated, rather produced wines of keeping, as this vintage Gewurtzraminer Zinnkoepflé de Seppi Landmann, to Soultzmatt. Harvested late but converted into wine in dry, it keeps in 2001 a typical nose of litchi and pink. Very ample without heaviness, everything in sharpness and in elegance it offers a whole range of spices until its long final. For little, Seppi would blush under the compliment: it was its first vintage wine...
